This course sits on farmland surrounded by tall conifers, elms and cottonwoods. The layout features modern design with open contoured fairways and built-up greens edged by grassy mounds. Wild Horse creek comes into play on four holes, most notably 8 and 9. You must hit a good approach on the 8th to get over the creek and around a greenside tree. On the par 4, 430 yard 9th, the creek runs down the left side of the fairway and collars a green recessed into a cluster of trees away from the end of the fairway.

Located in Wheatland, Wyoming, the Wheatland Golf Club was opened on June 16th 1931. The course was redesigned and sand greens replaced in 1967. Surrounded by tree-lined fairways with undulating greens the design of this course is known for being significantly different, yet fun. We offer a true Wheatland friendly atmosphere. Golfers can enjoy this challenging course with many exciting water hazards such as ponds and creeks. The course also has well conceived holes with subtle elevation changes that demand accuracy of the tee. Wheatland is a Par 36 course measuring 3,064 yards from the back tees. From the forward tees the course measures 2,557 yards.

Four Winds Golf Course features blue grass that covers mild slopes and leads to midsize bent grass greens. The course is maintained in excellent condition. The greens putt true and usually test about 10 on the Stimpmeter. Only number 11 is protected by sand bunkers. Pine and poplar trees line most fairways and lush rough encourages fairway play. Water hazards come into play on holes 3, 10 and 13. Hole number 4 features a dry water hazard. The Omaha World Herald once rated this number 4 hole as one of the toughest in the State. Come see if you agree with them.

Situated next to Enders Lake recreation area, this course is flat and appears uneventful. However, as with other courses that use the natural Nebraska prairie foliage for rough, there are headaches outside the fairway. The layout features wide, straightaway fairways and small, round greens. The bluegrass fairways and bentgrass greens are in excellent condition. Scattered young trees and the Nebraska 'gorse' separate the fairways. You'll find friendly service and a relaxing atmosphere in the clubhouse.

Hillside winds over and around small bluffs in southern Sidney. The hillside holes have narrow rolling fairways full of dips and undulations. The holes that lie between the bluffs have long, narrow fairways that are bound by the bases of the bluffs. The majority of the layout implements wild grass and sand rock for rough. The creatively-designed back nine was added in '93. It uses the lay of the land to create some wonderfully challenging and scenic holes. You tee off from the side of a bluff to the fairway 30 feet below on the tenth. The fourteenth is a monster par 5 with trees positioned to discourage cutting the corner. The course record is 63. Don't skip a chance to play Hillside.

Ridgeview Country Club is a must play for anyone traveling through northwest Nebraska. It lies at the foot of picturesque Pine Ridge just south of Chadron. From tee to green, it is superbly conditioned. Lush fairways lead to meticulously manicured greens that are ringed by tightly mowed aprons. The layout of the course is open and, except for out-of-bounds along a couple fairways, is not penalizing. The rough is very playable. Several traps and two ponds are located in landing zones and can effect your score if your not careful. If you enjoy seeing your ball sitting up on a rich green carpet, and if you enjoy putting without ever witnessing an unexpected bounce or break, go to Ridgeview.

Rolling Greens is named for its rolling terrain. The course rating and slope are combined measures of the course played from the white and blue tees. The blue tees are used for playing a second round of nine. The course is a challenge from either set of tees. Its greens slope toward the fairways and are in excellent condition. They putt true and quick. Sand traps come into play on every green. The uneven terrain enhances the difficulty of the course with sidehill lies and three blind approach shots. Young pine trees, older elms and poplars line the fairways. The long par 4, 2nd is considered one of the toughest holes in the panhandle.

Court House & Jail Rock Golf Course
Lying in the shadows of Court House and Jail Rock, this course features two long par 5's. Holes 3 and 4 lie side by side and total 1045 yards. The scenic 200 yard, par 3, 5th hole follows the long duo. Its ridge top tee overlooks a bubbling creek through a tree framed opening to the fairway below. The fairways and greens are in excellent condition despite the dry environment. The rough has been left unseeded and natural. It consists of small dry patches of weeds, prairie grass, and wild flowers. It enhances both the scenery and the challenge of a very fine course. The course has added a new clubhouse and cement cart paths in recent years.

Scenic Knolls is a challenging tract. You must think your way around the rolling terrain to score well. It is important to place your tee shots with pin placements in mind. The huge undulating greens are easy to hit but you will three putt often if you don't land in the vicinity of the flag. Other sources of difficulty include elevation changes, ponds, canals, and side hill lies. The layout is arranged to provide a good mix of short holes to take a chance on and long holes that require a long iron approach.
